It’s almost time for the holiday season, which means us college students can finally catch a break. There are many simple things we are grateful for during the “most wonderful time of the year.” Here are a few:

1. Sleeping in

No more setting your alarm for that early class you dread going to every week. It’s time to sleep in your bed at home that you so dearly missed, and wake up whenever you please.

2. Home-cooked meals

After weeks of frozen meals, ramen and Chipotle; a warm and welcoming home cooked meal is a must. As if a home cooked meal wasn’t enough, with the holiday season coming up, all of your favorite holiday foods your relatives will make are in close reach.

3. No homework

Having no homework to do is one of the best feelings in the world. No more stressing over all of the school work you have to do, it’s time to relax and enjoy the holidays.

4. Naps

Finding the time to take naps during the semester is tough, especially during finals. Now since you’re on your break, you can nap whenever your heart desires.

5. Money as a gift

Being a broke college student is no joke, so getting money as a gift is a blessing. Use it to spoil yourself, you deserve it after all the fall semester’s stresses!

6. Netflix

The time has finally come to binge watch that show you’ve been dying to see, or rewatch some of your favorites. Sit back and relax with unlimited Netflix time.

7. Seasonal jobs

Coming home to a seasonal job is the perfect setup. You can work as much as you want during the busy holiday season to save some cash, and when the spring semester comes you can easily drop it and go back to college.

8. Gym time

You finally have time to go to “werk.” Go to your gym or work out at home to shake off that freshman 15, or prepare for the yummy holiday food you are about to devour.

9. Time with family and friends

Getting to see those loving and familiar faces gives you warm and fuzzy feelings. Now you have time to catch up with your friends who attend different colleges, and time to appreciate family gatherings.

Always appreciate the little things while you’re on break, because you’re going to miss them come spring semester!
