Jazmin Lesane ’17

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at DePauw chapter.
Her Campus: Hey Jazmin, how are finals treating you?

Campus Cutie: Finals are really good, unlike other students, my course load has lightened up, rather than gotten more intense. I only have one written final and
some papers. Other than that, my semester’s pretty much over.

HC: Oh wow I’m jealous ha-ha I wish I could say that. So tell us a little bit about you.

CC: Hmm, well I’m a junior Communication major, French minor. I’m from the Bronx New York, a Posse, Bonner scholar, and a member of Alpha Chi Omega. Oh and I’m going abroad next semester to study French.

HC: Oh that is so exciting, where at?

CC: Strasbourg, France and I’m also doing a part time internship at a primary school

HC: Oh wow, that’s amazing! Is this your first time going abroad?

CC: Nope, last winter term I went to Italy to study Italian film and filmmaking—and of course, the cute Italian men.

HC: Ha-ha well speaking of cute men, what’s your type?

CC: Hmmm, what’s my ideal guy? Definitely thoughtful, compassionate, smart, and he has to be really involved. Oh, and good hygiene is a must! Bad smelling men are a
turn off!

HC: Yes, I can’t argue with you there! What about your ideal first date?

CC: Well, I would love something that’s more intimate and private; maybe a picnic in Central Park. I know I’m not the most outdoorsy girl, but lying on the grass while
talking and getting to know each other is definitely a romantic first date for me.

HC: Wow, that’s really sweet. Hopefully some lucky guy is out there reading this **wink wink** Ha-ha. Have you ever had a date like this?

CC: Yeah, my first date with my ex-boyfriend was like that. It started off really well…ha-ha.

HC: Don’t they all, ha-ha! Sonow to the most important question: are you single?

CC: Single as a dolla’ ha-ha, that’s cheesy, but yes very single. I kind of talk about it every day.

HC: Aw ha-ha, that’s okay; you’re not the only one. So are you looking for anyone?

CC: I’m not looking for anything too serious because I’m going abroad, however, if the right person does come along, then I won’t be opposed it.

HC: That’s fair and a very positive way to think about it! But anyway, that’s all we have for today. Thanks so much for taking time out for this interview. Good luck on the dating scene abroad, you can’t go wrong with French men!
