When I strolled into my apartment after a strenuous seven-hour drive after an even more strenuous calculus exam (beware of MA121, ladies), my mood was immediately brightened as I inhaled the intoxicating smells of my mom’s famous double chocolate chip cookies.

We make these cookies when we want to laugh, or cry, or just catch up, and I thought I would share the recipe with you all today!

The wet ingredients are:

2 1/2 sticks of softened butter

2 eggs

3 tablespoons of vanilla

The dry ingredients are:

2 cups of sugar

2 cups of flower

3/4 cups of cocoa powder

1 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda

1 teaspoon of salt

1 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips

2 cups white chocolate chips

Making the cookies are super easy! All you have to do is:

1. Preheat your oven to 350

2. Cream the butter and sugar

3. Add in the eggs one at a time, and then add in the vanilla

4. Sift all the dry ingredients together, and then add it in batches into the wet mixture

5. Hand mix the chocolate chips into the dough

6. Place the cookies onto a cookie sheet- use a cookie scoop or your hands to portion the cookies into about 1 tablespoon portions (about the size of a ping pong ball)

7. Enjoy!

To give you guys a sneak peek, here are how some of mine have turned out in the past!
