Kyle Connor is currently a freshman on the University of Michigan hockey team. He was named the 2014-15 USHL (United States Hockey League) Player of the Year and the 2014-15 USHL Forward of the Year. Additionally, he was drafted in the 1st round (17th overall) to the Winnipeg Jets in the 2015 NHL Draft.

Her Campus: How old were you when you first started playing hockey, and did you always know that you wanted to play in college?
Kyle Connor: I started playing when I was 4 years old. I always wanted to play for U of M – I grew up watching them play and was always a wolverine fan!
HC: What’s the best hockey-related moment you’ve ever had?
KC: Winning a gold medal at the U18 world championships.
HC: What’s your favorite thing about hockey?
KC: Playing for the University of Michigan at Yost, in front of the best fans in college hockey!
HC: What’s something you love to do apart from hockey?
KC: I really like playing golf.
HC: What’s something on your bucket list that you want to do while at Michigan?
KC: I definittely want to check out the Arb.
