Where are your favorite places to shop?

For staple pieces and items I want to last longer, I really like JCrew and Gap. For things that I might just wear once or are statement pieces, I usually go to H&M, Forever21 or even Old Navy.

You’ve had a lot of internships, what advice do you have for dressing for internships?

The rule I live by is to always err on the side of caution and overdress the first few days. After that, I just pay attention to what other people in the office are wearing and adjust according. Also, it’s a cliche but so true: dress for the job you want, not the job you have. So even if you’re “just an intern” make sure you are always presenting yourself like a full-time employee!

What is your favorite item in your closet?

I have a white cropped sweater with an open back that’s really fun and versatile. I can wear it to class with a scarf and high waisted jeans or dress it up a bit and wear it out.

Describe your go-to outfit?

When the weather is colder, I typically go with leggings, a sweater, and a big blanket scarf with boots. It’s easy to stay comfortable and still look cute.

What celebrity’s style do you wish you could steal?

Mindy Kaling! I don’t know that if could really get away with wearing all those pastels and mixing so many patterns, but I admire how she has a very unique style and is daring enough to take fashion risks. She’s also very confident in all her looks, which is super important!
