13 Jonas Brothers GIFs that Describe Winter Storm Jonas

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at VCU chapter.

Despite kicking off the winter with mild December temperatures, Mother Nature decided to remind the East Coast that it was, in fact, still winter. The monumental snow storm that hit last weekend, known as winter storm Jonas, caused over two feet of snow in some areas of the East Coast, as well as shut down metros, businesses and schools everywhere. While some prepared for Jonas by stocking up on groceries and digging out their shovels, others decided to relax, lay back, and use the entire storm as a perfectly valid excuse to take to social media and make as many Jonas Brothers references as possible during the duration of the storm.

1. When you first heard the storm was coming…

Storm is a relative word, right?

2. When the snow just kept coming down, and you looked out your window like…

Whoa okay — that’s more snow than I thought.

 3. When your friends asked you to go out and play in the snow, and you were sitting in your bed in pajamas watching Netflix like…

You’re joking right?

4. When someone asked you why you didn’t leave your house in 4 days…

Maybe because the temperature is literally less than my age.

5. When you realized there was no way you were leaving your house — so you sat in front of your computer screen looking like…

Do calories even count during a snowstorm?

6. When students with a meal plan were left to fend for themselves because dining services closed down during the snowstorm and the University was like…

*Looks out window* *Sees freshman aimlessly wander the city looking for food*

7. When classes were cancelled not only on Friday, but Monday too…

Another day of doing absolutely nothing!

8. When you saw people trying to dig their cars out of the snow like…

Okay… you’re not going anywhere you might as well wait for it all to melt.

9. When you ran out of milk and eggs and the grocery store was closed because of the snow…

Do I really need to eat?

10. When you tried to get around in the snow while avoiding all the puddles and trying not to slip…

Because you’re not in the mood to go Arctic swimming today.

11. When your friends propose day drinking as the best way to get over the storm…

You guys really read my mind.

12. When the temperature dropped below 20 degrees, and you turned your thermostat up to 80 to compensate…

Maybe if you close your eyes, it’ll feel like the Bahamas.

13. When you come back to class and your teacher asks if anyone did the reading that was assigned during the storm…

*Doesn’t check bank account* *Doesn’t check Blackboard* *Pretends everything is okay*
