Women Banned from Tinder for Campaigning Too Hard For Bernie Sanders

Robyn Gedrich, 23-year-old New Jersey resident and avid Bernie Sanders fan, has been banned from Tinder after being reported too many times for her persistent campaigning for the Senator.

In an attempt to spread support for Sanders’ campaign, Gedrich swiped right on every Tinder profile and sent the same message to every match: “Do you feel the bern? Please text WORK to 82623 for me. Thanks!”

The number is one to text if you want to volunteer for the Sanders campaign. While a lot of Tinder users thought Gedrich was a bot (hence the banning), she said she had some interesting conversations as well.

“Some of them didn’t know about a lot of issues going on in the world, so it was kind of cool to talk to them and explain to them things they wouldn’t have known otherwise,” Gedrich told Mashable. “Not a lot of them are interested, but at least a few are.”

An advocate affordable college, Gedrich works as an assistant store manager at an outlet mall store and is just trying to save enough money to get her bachelor’s degree.

“These guys are disgusting. They’re just looking for sex and that’s it,” Gedrich told BuzzFeed News. “So if they’re going to swipe right, they might as well do some good and donate to the man, the myth, the legend, Bernie.”

Though Gedrich has moved on to Facebook, she’s started a Tinder revolution
