5 Wilmington Brunch Spots for Valentine’s Day

Whether you are looking for a good, late morning meal with your beau or celebrating Galentine’s day with your friends and want to avoid couples on romantic dinner dates, Valentine’s Day brunches are an awesome way to spend the day. Luckily, in Wilmington, we have an array of brunch spots from near campus to downtown to make this Valentine’s Day fun! Apart from the well known diners and restaurants like the College Diner, Sweet n’ Savory Cafe, and The Dixie Grill, here are some of the hidden brunch gems Wilmington has to offer.

1. Goody Goody Omelet House

Open fom 6 a.m. until 2 p.m., Goody’s is your typical diner and can cover all of your brunch needs. Located at 3817 Market Street, this brunch spot has your classic breakfast and lunch foods like omelets, biscuits, and burgers and fries. One reviewer wrote that they had “never had such a fluffy omelet,” and another said “make sure if you get the biscuits that you get them grilled, you’ll thank me later!” So if you are looking for a brunch spot and love classic American diner food, then Goody Goody Omelet House is for you.

2. Bon Appetit Restaurant

Found at 3704 Carolina Beach Road, Bon Appetit Restaurant is open from 6:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. and offers daily breakfast and weekday lunch classics. One reviewer said “great service, great breakfast, great beginning to an awesome day” about the shrimp and grits, fried green tomato BLT, French toast, and southern fries they had. With some breakfast diner staples and classic Southern food, Bon Appetit is a great brunch spot for this Valentine’s Day.

3. Our Crepes & More

For those who want less of a diner feel, Our Crepes & More has you covered. Located at 3810 Oleander Drive, this brunch spot not only has sweet and savory crepes, but also offers salads and croissants. One online reviewer described it as “by far my favorite breakfast place in Wilmington.” Open from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m., Our Crepes & More will cover all of your brunch needs.

4. Blue Surf Cafe

For the ones who don’t really like breakfast foods but love brunch, the Blue Surf Cafe is for you. Offering imaginative takes on seafood classics, this cafe located at 250 Racine Drive reminds us of why seafood in Wilmingon is so infamous. One reviewer spoke about the Mahi Sandwhich and roasted sweet potatoes and another just wrote “delicious food!” Open from 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., this cafe has you covered on seafood related bruches.

5. Jester’s Java

And lastly, for the brunchers and coffee enthusiasts, Jester’s Java on 607 Castle Street is open from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. With great coffee that one online reviewer called “without flaw” as well as menu items like black bean burgers, eggs benedict, French toast, and breakfast sandwhiches, Jester’s Java is a great idea for a holiday brunch spot.
