If you want to impress bae or your girls the next time you see them then this is the recipe for you. The spices will have them needing water yet wanting more at the same time. It’s easy to follow leading to wonderful flavors on your taste buds.
Ingredients
1 pack of drumsticks (4 pack or 6 pack)
1 ½ tsp of salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp oregano
1 tablespoon garlic
Half of a medium sized onion
1tsp of Adobo seasoning
1 tsp of lemon juice
Oil
2 tablespoons jerk seasoning (Grace brand preferred; comes in hot or mild)
What You’ll Need
A pan to put the chicken in for baking
A bowl to season the chicken in
Foil
Directions
1. Place the chicken in the bowl and rinse it out with water. Take off all the loose skin from the chicken (the skin that’s hanging on for dear life) and poke holes into the drumstick with a knife. After draining the water, add the lemon juice to the chicken.
2. Now it’s time to add the semi good stuff! Add the salt, black pepper, oregano, and Adobo to the chicken. Then, add the garlic and onion and mix everything up with the chicken.
3. Now here comes the GOOD stuff. Take a whiff of that jerk seasoning. Don’t smell too close especially if you bought the HOT version. Add the seasoning to the mixture and mix it all in there.
4. Let the chicken sit outside for an hour then place it into the fridge for 4-5 hours (the longer the better).
5. After you take the chicken out of the fridge, turn on the oven to 350 degrees. Place the chicken in the pan and drizzle some oil on it, not too much. This is so the chicken doesn’t stick to the pan. Cover the pan of chicken up with the foil.
6. Set your timer to an hour and then turn the chicken over after the hour is up. You’ll see that chicken has made juices. Take a spoon and pick up the juices and drizzle them back on the chicken. Put the chicken back in the oven and set the timer for another thirty minutes.
7. The chicken should be cooked now, but it may need a little color. You can add a bit more jerk seasoning too it and take the foil off the chicken and set it for another 15-20 minutes.
8. After all of this, your chicken is ready to GO. I would eat it with some yellow rice or regular white rice or even rice and peas and with a side of that tasty pina colada recipe on the page (check it OUT).
