Valentine’s Day Outfits

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

There are so many mixed feelings regarding Valentine’s Day. It is a holiday that can seem extremely overrated and highly commercialized; it isn’t a day that should be hated or should induce feelings of sadness and loneliness. We should think about Valentine’s Day as a day to celebrate all of our relationships. The day shouldn’t only be about boyfriends or girlfriends. Spend time reconnecting with family and friends because those relationships are just as important. Whether you’re single or in a relationship, you can never go wrong having a Galentine’s Day!

No matter how you spend your Valentine’s Day, there’s always a cute outfit you can wear.

Date Night

So you have really exciting plans with your boyfriend this Valentine’s Day, but trying to plan something special can be difficult. Don’t go crazy worrying about your outfit so that way you can focus your attention on all the other details of the night. You don’t need to go crazy shopping, but go a little beyond what you would normally wear on a date. You finally have a chance to wear that new dress you bought on a whim that’s still sitting in your closet. Pair it with a pair of heels and some jewelry you can’t wear to class.

Girls Night Out

In a “who needs boys” kind of mood this Valentine’s Day? Go out with your girlfriends, and have the fun that can be gossiped about over brunch in the morning. Use this weekend to dress for yourself for once and wear whatever makes you feel the most confident. Whether it’s a dress, jeans, heels, or boots, just remember to rock it!

Staying In

It’s been a long week and the thought of having to put on makeup just exhausts you, so treat yourself to a little R&R today. Wear your coziest outfit, make your favorite coffee or tea, and turn on Netflix or crack open a new book. You will wake up Monday morning refreshed and ready to take on the week.

It doesn’t matter what you do this Valentine’s Day just remember to have fun! As long as you make the most out of whatever you are doing, I can guarantee you a fantastic holiday.
