5 Treats to Make With Leftover Valentine’s Day Candy

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at TAMU chapter.

Now that the holiday most singles fear is finally over, a lot of you are probably left with giant bags of chocolate variety packs. Fear not because here are some ways to creatively get rid of it all! Or eat it… you could just eat it.

1. Peanut Butter Butterfinger Cheesecake

Go big or go home, nam sayin’? This idea is perfect for the hostess at heart. Crumble up a couple of Butterfingers in your traditional cheesecake recipe, and you’ve got a delectable treat to share with the roomies! Recipe HERE

2. Make a painting

I can’t decide if this is weird of creative. Take a couple boxes of Nerds candy, place them in cups and pour water over them. In no time at all, you have amazing watercolors! Or just Nerd Candy Paint… Say hello to your brand new hobby (at least until all the candy runs out).

3. Milky Way Fudge

This is the easiest thing you will ever need because all you need are four things: condensed milk, chocolate chips, Milky Ways and a microwave. How convenient for those of us who literally only use a microwave! For the exact measurements, click HERE

4. Drizzle chocolate on your favorite snacks

Take those small Hershey’s bars and melt them in that handy dandy microwave. Drizzle it on things like popcorn, pretzel crips or almonds and let them stand for a minute then save for a snack in between classes.

5. Candy Bar Cookie Sandwiches

Lord, help us all. Sugar on sugar, but who’s complaining? Wrap your favorite chocolate bar around cookie dough and bake them in the oven at 350° and you’ve made heaven. For the recipe click HERE
