In today’s society, Internet is needed for everything. For example, class notes, online projects, Facebook, Instagram, etc. But what happens when we get that error message saying, “Could not connect to the Internet”? Here are the six stages of the Wi-Fi not working on campus:

1. Maybe I’m connected to the wrong Wi-Fi

Not connected to the Internet? I’m probably still connected to my router in my room. No big deal. Let me just switch this.

2. Okay, this is definitely the right Wi-Fi

I swear this says I’m connected to the campus Wi-Fi…

3. I need to figure this out RIGHT NOW

I’m just going to disconnect and try again… and again. Maybe one more time. I’ll just give it a minute. It’s definitely going to connect.

4. PANIC

Class is about to start and still no Internet. The entire room is frantically whispering to the person next to them. Random “Felicia’s phone” options are popping up on the Wi-Fi list. WHAT IS A HOT SPOT? HOW DO I GET ONE?

5. Finally connecting to that random Wi-Fi with one bar

Don’t fail me now, attwifi. I just need to open this PowerPoint before class starts.

6. THE WI-FI IS BACK

*internal sigh of relief*

There you have it, collegiettes! Next time the Wi-Fi isn’t working, just remember to take a deep breath – you’re not alone in the struggle.
