Reactions to the Roses: Women Tell All

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Gonzaga chapter.

Welcome back ladies! This week is sure to be exciting as it’s the Women Tell All which is no doubt going to include drama, backstabbing, and lots of tears! To start us off, we get a flashback from Chris Harrison (who was in a really bad suit, I might add) when he and Ben crash viewing parties.  I definitely wanted to be those sorority girls whose party got crashed!

First up on the chopping block: Olivia.  But that was unfortunately interrupted by a chicken flying off the lap of the chicken enthusiast.  Whoops.  Thank goodness they brought the crazy chicken lady back though.  I was worried about her!

Then Chris Harrison decides it’s time to talk about Leah.  Things get tense and we know we will be coming back to this topic later.  Unfortunately, we never do, seeing as Leah was…paid to stab Lauren B. in the back?  I’m on to you ABC.

Jubilee’s drama is the next subject of conversation.  That was a whole lot of awkward.  The two other biracial girls (Amber and Jami) kind of attacked her for her comments on being the ‘real’ black girl on the show.  Jubilee doesn’t take responsibility for any of her actions and you can tell the girls are fed up with her drama.  Shushanna gives the best advice and tells Jubilee to just apologize.  The three make up, and then Chris Harrison calls Jubilee down to the hot seat.  Chris is playing his role very well.

We get the opportunity to re-watch Ben and Jubilee’s relationship go down the drain, which was just as painful the second time around.  Jubilee starts crying when she thinks back on their relationship, and Chris Harrison tries to stroke her ego and pride.  As my viewing party said, we are over Jubilee.  Time to move on.

Next up: Lace. I forgot how rediculous she was on night one.  Lace tells the world that she has dated people since the show ended but she hasn’t found the one because she hasn’t learned to love herself yet.  Then this crazy guy comes up and shows his tattoo of Lace’s face. Creepy!  This show keeps getting weirder.  Then our lovely host invites her to be on Bachelor in Paradise.  GET READY BACHELOR NATION, LACE IS HEADED TO PARADISE.  We don’t have to say goodbye to Lace yet.

We FINALLY get a crack at Olivia. After watching the roller coaster that was Olivia and Ben’s relationship, Olivia sits on the couch and doesn’t know where everything went wrong.  I was personally looking at Olivia just waiting for the other girls to lay into her.  They didn’t disappoint.  When Amanda asks if Olivia wants to deny if she made rude comments about Amanda’s kids, you can tell Olivia can’t defend herself.  And the crowd goes wild for Amanda.  Everyone knows you don’t hate on the single mom who has a dead-beat ex-husband.  Plus Amanda is beautiful and classy, so you really can’t hate her.  She’s perfect.  Olivia comes back and talks about being bullied and how she didn’t know how to do this show and she clearly didn’t do it right.  She officially apologizes to everyone, which I think was sincere, and you can tell she has been having a hard time.

Caila is in the hot seat next.  I personally never really liked Caila but seeing her tonight is sad.  Watching her reliving her relationship on the couch is kind of pathetic, but I definitely feel like she is faking it all and scripting out her responses so she can be the Bachelorette.  Seeing her just makes me sick to my stomach. Clearly you didn’t take this break up as well as you are saying.

Ben comes out from behind the curtain and we get to see how the girls are going to attack him.  He’s very real with Caila, but I could tell he’s not in love with her (because he loves LAUREN) and has moved on.  Caila, time for you too sweetie.  Then Leah speaks up, and she just gets shot down because who even are you Leah? Jubilee speaks up about not getting the opportunity to be closed off and how she was hurt that she didn’t get a second chance.  Ben stays classy throughout the entire interrogation and thoughtfully explains each of his decisions.  I freaking love him.  Way to go Ben! Then Lauren H., Becca, and Amanda all say very nice things about Ben and how it’s nice to know there are great guys still out there in the world.  Ben admits he’s still in love and PICKED SOMEONE (aka Lauren) and would marry her tomorrow.

At the end of the day, I am glad Ben is going to pick Lauren next week.  Although, I think there is going to be lots of drama with JoJo.  Tune in next week for my final column!  It’s sure to be the Most Dramatic Season Finale in Bachelor history.
