2016 is the year to take a beauty risk! Check out these hot, must-know trends:

1. Blue eyeliner is a super easy way to go bold. Mostly cobalt and aqua hues were seen on the runway at 3.1 Phillip Lim, Nanette Lepore, Monique Lhullier and Boss

Nyx has these stunningly beautiful options, at just a few dollars apiece!

2. Red Lips are a classic and always will be. However, they are oftentimes reserved for special occasions. This spring, go bold or go home! Satin, glossy and matte red lips were seen at DKNY, Oscar De La Renta and Celine. The trick is to exfoliate, moisturize, line and fill in with lipstick or liquid lipstick so your lips are defined and stay all day.

3. Mac’s Ruby Woo is a cult favorite candy apple red matte lipstick and liner. Use them together for a defined pout.

3. Brushed-up brows are a super simple and model-approved way to change up your natural look, spotted at Christopher Kane and DKNY. Gone is the pressure of having perfectly shaped brows!

4. Fill in and keep your brows in place all day with Glossier’s Boy Brow Pomade

4. Glitter lids aren’t just party makeup anymore! Creatures of the Wind and Delpozo inspired us to experiment with soft, twinkling lids or in-your-face wings.

For lasting eyes, mix a loose glitter (Like these from Make Up For Ever) with a mixing medium that works like glue, such as MAC’s Mixing Medium Eyeliner. Add just a sprinkle of glitter and pat over lids for an ethereal look. Load up on glitter and brush it on in layers for a more intense look, and apply black liner all around your eyes for more contrast.

5. Vampy matte lips are an unexpected warm-weather trend, but they’re so moody and gorgeous that we want to wear them all year round! Givenchy, Anna Sui and Burberry are leading the way.

The Shade shown in the Burberry image above is the label’s own Burberry Kisses lipstick in Oxblood no.97. It’s a splurge, but will remain a staple well into fall and winter!

I usually wear mostly pink and the gym and have nearly 300 bottles of nail polish. Now that I've given you more than enough reasons to hate me, take a looksie at my DIY articles. Maybe you'll change your mind. Comments and suggestions more than welcome!
