Spring Break Destinations

Well, the time has finally arrived! Spring Break 2016. For some individuals, like myself, this means going home and catching up on all of the recorded episodes of The Bachelor while grubbing on a five-course Easter meal. For others, spring break will be spent on the party beaches of Miami or some remote island in The Bahamas. However casual or exotic the destination, I can almost guarantee every student would agree that this break is well deserved and will be well spent, accordingly.

Here’s where you can find people this #SB2K16…

Sarah ’19—Montreal, Canada

“I’m really excited to shop because the exchange is really good right now for the American dollar—I’ll be able to get more stuff in Canada than I would here. There’s this small mountain called Mount Royal where you can hike up and see all of Montreal.”

Katie’19—Sarasota, Florida

“I have family there so my mom and I are going. We’ll probably just go to the beach and shop a bit. I’m excited to get away and be out in the sunshine. The famous kissing statue is there, it’s really cool.”

Kiara ’19—Montego Bay, Jamaica

“I’ve never been on a cruise, I’m so excited to being going to Jamaica for my first one. I can’t wait for all the beautiful scenery, I’m definitely going to be taking hundreds of pictures.”

Justin ’20—San Diego, California

“This is probably really lame but I’m most excited about visiting the San Diego Zoo. My dad and I will definitely do some sailing and surfing while we’re out there too. I’m probably going to come back from break with the biggest sunburn, but it’ll be worth it.”

Sophomore. Journalism major with a minor in Global Studies. I like Lifetime movies, eclectic music and those little meatballs from IKEA.
