This past week has been an exciting one for the music industry. Kendrick Lamar surprised us all with a release of his collection of untitled lyrical masterpieces, Zayn finally released his long-awaited debut solo album, and Frank Ocean still hasn’t come out with his new album.But, while all of these giants have been dominating the top charts, I’ve been on a hunt for some new tunes to turn up to.
During my hunt, I finally came across a band worth listening to. This week’s tunes are brought to you by White Denim’s sixth and newest album, Stiff. If you like music that makes you feel as if you’re driving down a long strip of highway in a scorching desert, carefree and unbound by the laws of society in your red Cadillac Eldorado (kind of like a Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas vibe), then this album will be your new favorite.

White Denim, a soulful punk band from Austin, TX, takes you on a wild trip with their mouth-watering guitar licks and vocals that make you weak in the knees with their Southwestern edge. What makes this album special is that this is White Denim’s first album with a new band line up. The original singer and bassist are joined by a new guitarist and drummer, making it even more incredible due to the absolute chemistry laid on the tracks.
