Spring break is over *cries*

But that’s okay! It’s spring quarter—and in my opinion—the best quarter. Spring quarter is when everyone comes out of hibernation, the weather is much nicer, and everyone is ready to be social again. The Spring Quarter feels are in full effect. And that means:

1.)  New Quarter, New Me.

You know how all the basics claim that a new year is a new beginning for them? Well, a new quarter really IS a new beginning! You start with a clean slate and can work to get to better grades! Pro-tip: Don’t skip class. I know it’s tempting af, but honestly, are you really going to make up that extra lecture time? No. Just go to class. You’ll thank me later.

2.)  Spring Feverrrrrrrr!!

Everyone’s done hibernating. The weather is gorgeous, and everyone is down to hang out again. I’ve heard spring quarter in Davis referred to as “Mating Season,” and it’s true! If you were single as a pringle during the winter and wondering where everyone was hiding, here’s your answer. Get your flirt on, it’s spring.

3.)  Allergies.

Allergies in Davis are the WORST. With the lovely smell of our cows mingling with all the pollen in the air, breathing has never been more laborious. Itchy, water eyes and constant sneezing isn’t the most fun, but allergy meds are a life-saver!

4.)  PICNIC DAY.

Picnic Day. Picnic Day. Picnic Day. Picnic Day. (wait, when are my midterms??) Oh wait, PICNIC DAYYYYY. Picnic Day is the best. Be safe, don’t be stupid, and you’ll have an amazing time!

5.)  I’m graduating????

For many of us, this is our last quarter. The feels are major here. In a couple of weeks, we’re going to be actual full time adults. Like what?? When did this happen??? Enjoy your last quarter here at UC Davis. Get out of your comfort zone, talk to someone you’d never say hi to, do some random acts of kindness. You’re graduating in a quarter! Let’s do it big.

Hey everyone! My name is Chandni and I first came to Davis as a transfer student. Now that I'm in my final year, I've learned a lot about campus life in a really short amount of time. I'm an economics and psychology major and I love animals! I love meeting new people, so if you ever see me around, come over and say hi! :)
