With about a month left of school, everyone has summer on their brains. But here in Vermont, the weather is still in a limbo between winter and springââsome days it’s warm and sunny while other days are cold and rainy….or even snowy! Back in February, Casey Lyons showed us how she managed to maintain her killer style on chillier days. Now it’s Jessica Costa’s turn reveal how she is channeling spring despite the fluctuating weather patterns. Even when the sun isn’t shining, she radiates the carefree vibes we all begin to experience more in spring.

Monday:Â
(pacsun utility jacket. marshalls hoodie. abercrombie & fitch striped tee. old navy jeans. converse chuck taylor all star high top.)
Jessâs easygoing personality is definitely evident in this cozy, layered outfit. Her green utility jacket gives her otherwise neutral-toned ensemble a subtle bit of color, and her converse sneakers finish it all off perfectly.
Â
Tuesday:Â
(urban outfitters sherpa vest. forever 21 top. hollister jeans. MIA combat boots.)
During this time of year when itâs too warm to wear a winter jacket but too cold to go with nothing at all, vests are the solution. Jessâs soft suede and sherpa vest is perfect for transitioning to spring and looks fabulous paired the burgundy of her top and studded combat boots.
Â
Wednesday:
(free people eyelet top. hollister jeans. frye boots.)
Jess didnât let a cloudy day block her from radiating sunshine and good vibes! Her shirtâs bright color combined with the detailed eyelet flowers channels spring effortlessly.
Â
Thursday:
(forever 21 denim jacket and jeans. urban outfitters tee. frye boots.)
Jess pieced together all solid colors to create this classic getup. Her denim jacket adds a bold texture and is one of Jessâs must-have items.
Â
Friday:
(ll bean flannel shirt and bean boots. j.crew tee. american eagle acid wash jeans.)
Jess embraced âFlannel Fridayâ with the help of good olâ LL Bean. Not only are bean boots cute but theyâre also totally functional for the rainy season that comes with April. Jessâs classic New England look is given a fresh twist thanks to her 90âs-esque acid wash jeans.

Interview of Jessica Costa ’19Â
Where are you originally from?
Hampton, New Hampshire.
Whatâs your major and what are you involved in on campus? Â
I am a psych major and I am a mentor for Middle School Mentors. I am also on CORE team for MSM, and I go to Active Minds meetings.
How would you describe your style?
Random….I kind of just like what I like. Iâm picky so itâs hard for people to buy clothes for me.
Who do you look to for fashion inspiration/advice?
Honestly, I usually pick up inspiration from people I see on the street, or on campus and sometimes in magazines. I donât really have one person I look to for inspiration. My mom has really good taste so I get my love and appreciation for style from her.
What is your daily beauty/ fashion routine?
I am so not a morning person so my morning routine is simple and quick. I shower at night and use morrocan oil on my hair as well as Sally Hershberger sea salt spray and I wash my face with Simple and use their moisturizer. In the morning, I wake up, brush my teeth, get dressed and walk out the door.
If you could spend all your money at one store, what would it be?
Free People
What staple fashion items could you not live without?
A good pair of medium washed jeggings, converse high tops, and any pieces that you can layer with. I love a good jean jacket.
What are the best stores near campus?
Hmm thatâs tough because Iâm obsessed with online shopping. I guess Urban Outfitters on Church Street. I wish there was a Forever 21 closer because their pieces are affordable and trendy. I also love Marshalls and TJ Maxx.
What do you love most about fashion?
Fashion kind of recycles itself every few years. I love that things that were âinâ when I was in like 4th grade came back in style…like ponchos.
