The second of weekend of Coachella is coming up, and those of us not in Indio, California are super jealous. Having seen all the beautiful Insta pictures from the first weekend (how is Vanessa Hudgens such a queen?), we’re not sure our fragile hearts can handle another three days of festival FOMO. Here are 5 quick (and maybe silly) tips to combat your Coachella envy!

Avoid boho-inspired outfits

Yes, the spring weather is the perfect time for your new crochet crop top. But we’re trying not to think about festival fashion (as sad as that is). Try a preppy look with some Vineyard Vines and pearl necklaces. So “anti-Coachella.”

Think about your A/C

Coachella is in the middle of the desert, and it gets very hot. Yes, everyone there might be getting major tans, but think of how tiring it is to be in the sun all day. So sit back and soak in the air conditioning.

Eat a burger

Or cake. Or pizza. Or anything you want. Because you can hide your wonderful food baby in a big t-shirt or smock dress. You don’t have to be running around like a boho queen in a crop top or bathing suit or bralette so you might as well enjoy some good food.

Listen to any music except artists that are playing Coachella

Or go all out and stay away from any artist who has recently performed at Coachella. I know it’s hard to part with Halsey or Disclosure, but it’s just so painful to think of missing their concerts.

Stay away from all social media

You can’t escape the pictures and videos on any media platform—there’s even a flower crown Snapchat filter! So it’s best to avoid all run-ins with artsy pictures of people living it up at the festival. Out of sight, out of mind.
