How To Be a Lushie Without Breaking the Bank

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCD chapter.

Here’s the scene: You walk into your local Lush Cosmetics store, compelled to buy every bath or makeup item they have… until you realize a salt scrub would cost you your grocery money. Fear not– it is possible to be a Lushie (a nickname for a collector of Lush products) without emptying your wallet! These are some of the best products under $10 worth the purchase.

1. Shower Jellies

Price: $6.95 for 3.5 oz

These jellies are unique to Lush, and a little goes a long way. You can freeze it to make a soap or scoop it straight out of the tub (my preferred method). Bonus: they make for great gifts!

2. Kalamazoo Beard and Facial Wash

Price: $9.95 for 3.5 oz

Yup, you read that right. This facial wash is made for both non-bearded individuals and those who want to maintain their scruff. The pineapple enzyme cleanses skin and leaves it feeling creamy!

3. Bath Bombs

Price: $3.95-8.95

Lush bath bombs are perfect for when you want to ‘treat yo’self’ (in the wise words of Tom Haverford) but don’t want to spend too much at a spa or salon. They come in a variety of different scents and colors, so you won’t have to settle for a boring bubble bath. Some even will surprise you with a glitter bomb in the center!

4. Fresh Farmacy

Price: $9.95 for 3.5 oz

Bored of just using Cetaphil to cleanse your sensitive skin? Fresh Farmacy is just as gentle as other sensitivity-targeted skin products, and makes my skin incredibly soft with no irritation whatsoever.
