Check out COLA’s Very Own Baseball Team, The Fireflies

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at South Carolina chapter.

Although the “City of Dreams” kind of becomes the “City of Everyone Going Home for the Summer” during the months of June and July, there are definitely still ways to have some fun. One of my favorite things to do this summer in Columbia is to head on out to a baseball game at the Columbia Fireflies stadium! The Fireflies is Columbia’s very own minor league baseball team located right off of South Bull Street. Tickets are as low as $5 and it’s a great activity for date night or a chill night out with your girlfriends. The best part is that they even offer daily deals.

My personal favorite deal is $2 Tuesdays. Most Tuesdays, you can head to the ball game and get sodas and hot dogs for only $2. Also on most Thursdays throughout the summer months, there are post-game fireworks on top of “Thirsty Thursday” deals which include half off sodas and beers. Sounds like a good time to me.

Check out their summer schedule here to buy indivual game tickets.
