Welcome back, Falcons! We have a huge year coming up, as this is the centennial year (AKA Bentley’s 100th Birthday). As a senior, coming back this year was a mix of excitement for what’s coming but also sadness for what is eventually ending. That being said, we’re finally home again!

And with this I bring to you… The Six Stages of the Last First Week of School Ever.

  1. Excitement: We’re all excited to get back on campus to see our friends and get back into the swing of things! We’re finally seniors!
  2. Denial: Instead of wanting to feel like an adult, we still desperately want to believe that we’re sophomores in college– having one year down and a lot more to look forward to.
  3. Fear: Deep down, we know that the end is near, and we’re still trying not to think about becoming real adults.
  4. Sadness: We’ve realized that this is basically it, and we’re sad that time seems to pass by so quickly in school. After all, we’ve already had two weeks of classes!
  5. Nostalgia: This is our very last first week of school!
  6. Happiness: As seniors, we’re all on the pursuit of happiness, and following our graduation we’ll go on to do fantastic things

Despite this being the very last first week of school, there is still a lot to come in our Bentley careers– and so much to already be thankful for. I’ve met some incredible people and made friends from so many different places. I am thrilled to have attended Bentley for these four years and wish the very best to those who follow our footsteps. Cheers to 100 years, Bentley!
