HC: First, what influenced you to come to VSU?

RF: I was influenced to Valdosta because my best friend Kenya wanted to come. I was also accepted to GA State, but the campus was beautiful here and I loved the location because it wasn’t too far from home and it was also close to Florida.

HC: In what ways are you involved on campus?

RF: This semester I’m not active in any organizations because I want to focus on my personal crafts and graduating this fall. However, I am interning for Valdosta-Lowndes Film Initiative with Adrianna Rodriguez.

HC: Do you have any off-campus involvements?

RF: Aside from school I coached a first-year dance team known as the Prancing Titans here in Valdosta. Last year we made it all the way to nationals in the Pop Warner Cheer and Dance Competition. My older team got 4th place.

HC: What are some things you like to do in your free time?

RF: In my free time, I do freelance photography. I launched Kapturvating Images in April. I’ve always had a love for art, photography, and hustling. So when I got my camera I got straight to work but I still have a ways to go. In addition I’m working on an online book club called BookTalk with Becky, talk show styled .

HC: What do you plan to do with your major?

RF: I plan on using my degree to get into upscale videography/photography. I’ll use my marketing minor to help businesses brand themselves. However, I wouldn’t mind starting out with news because I enjoy being aware about what’s going on.

HC: What three words would people use to describe you best?

RF: 3 words to describe me: genuine, silly, and ambitious.

HC: What is your favorite quote or what motto do you like to live by?

RF: “The purpose of life is a life of purpose.”

HC: Where do you see yourself post- graduation and in 5 years?

RF: 5 years from now I see myself being a social activist. I want to be some inspiration to the younger generation and be in a position to help others, I really look up to Karen Civil and Michelle Obama.

HC: What is one unknown fact about you that you’d like for other people to know?

RF: I’m African (Sierrea Leonean), I used to play soccer for 6 years, I love food (which is probably known). I couldn’t pick, oh there’s another one … sometimes I’m indecisive.

HCXO!
