3 Reason Why I Sip on Tea Instead of Coffee

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UH chapter.

Coffee or tea, beloved beverages that have traveled all over the world. A sometimes hotly (no pun intended) debated issue is which one is better. While I do enjoy a good cappuccino occasionally, I try not to reach out to coffee beans for a few selected reasons.

1.It’s easier to make.

It takes me all about of six minutes to make my cup of tea. I grab a mug, fill it with water, pop it in the microwave for about two minutes, and plop the tea bag in to seep for about four minutes. With just a little almond milk and sugar for me, my tea is ready to drink.

2.It’s more hydrating.

Tea is more hydrating, even over water, with added bonus of the amazing flavors. (Seriously, there are SO MANY flavors of tea, from sweet to spicy.) Plus, the more hydrated your body is, the better your skin will be!

3.A cup of tea solves everything for me.

I have found a cup of tea can help with any bad day. Chamomile is good for a sleepless night; elderflower helps with the common cold; a lemon balm tea can ease stress; a ginger tea can help fight nausea; peppermint can with feeling bloated. There’s an endless to what tea can do for you!

Maybe it’s time to reconsider your morning beverage, or maybe you’re still a die-hard coffee lover. Remember, either way, moderation is key!
