Nothing gets us out of our skinny jeans and into our heels faster than College Fashion Week. The 5th annual Her Campus event was held at Space 57 at the Revere Hotel in Boston, and didn’t disappoint the line of collegiettes that wrapped around the corner of the building, excited to get in. It was an evening of fashion, photos, giveaways, and more. The space was packed with Her Campus correspondents and writers all sporting their finest for the fashion show-meets-girls’ night out.
We were greeted with goody bags at the door, filled with products from College Fashion Week’s sponsors. From Hanes tights, Maidenform tummy flatteners and Drybar dry shampoo, to Skinny Pop, Kind Bars and a cute HC cup and classy koozie, the swag bags made every guest feel like a VIP. We visited the photo booths (okay we went twice!), and then made the rounds to the sponsors. After picking up cherry and black raspberry Sparkling Ice, we grabbed a travel mani kit from Bertha, entered the giveaways from Hanes and Maidenform and then found our spots for the show.
Although the goody bags nearly stole the spotlight, the real event was the fashion show, comprised of four smaller shows. Each featured a signature look – Study Chic, Festival, Rush, and Girls Night Out. Our favorite was part of the Study Chic collection, and featured a linen skirt with bow detailing paired with a cute graphic tee, and finished with a white leather backpack. It’s a look we all agreed would turn heads as we walk to class. The collegiettes modeling the collections looked fabulous!
We left College Fashion Week with goody bags in hand, style on the mind, and already excited for next year!
