HC: “Becca! Tell us a few of your favorite things about being a student here at SUNY Oneonta.”
Becca: “In my experience, the large majority of my peers are friendly. All of the professors I’ve had have been fantastic- I actually haven’t encountered a student or professor I haven’t liked in my four years here! Having friendly faculty and peers means a lot to me. It’s the reason I’ve made amazing memories here, while getting an education that I’m confident in.”
HC: “Why have you decided to live on campus all 4 years?”
Becca: “Living on campus is beyond convenient. I’ve never had to worry about splitting electricity bills, or who’s making dinner. I’ve never had to pay for laundry, and I’m never late to class. It’s more motivation to use gyms that we have here on campus, and living among all people of my own age is A LOT of fun! It’s also easier to get involved and stay involved while living on campus. I don’t have to drive to campus for work, clubs, or classes, and I love that.”
HC: “What’s your guilty pleasure TV or movie?”
Becca: “Lately my guilty pleasure TV has been the “Jane The Virgin” (I just finished the second season and am counting down the days to season 3). But my guilty pleasure movies will forever be the same- The Lion King, The Lorax, and Avatar (the one with the blue people, not the air-bender).”
HC: “Top 3 favorite foods?”
Becca: “I’m going to assume ‘food’ doesn’t mean candy, although I would always choose sweets over real food. I do like food though, too.
1. Cereal; IE: Reese’s Puffs, Raisin Bran, and Rice Krispies.
2. Pancakes! Specifically from Cracker Barrel, but all pancakes are good.
3. Mac n’ Cheese. I’ll never be too old for Kraft, but Panera and even fancier Mac n’ Cheese is amazing too.”
HC: “If you had to live anywhere in the world, where would you go?”
Becca: “If I had to live somewhere right now that wasn’t where I am now, I would live in the North Island of New Zealand, specifically in Ragland, because I’ve been before and I am 100% confident that I could live there happily forever. “
HC: “Marry Date or Kill, Channing Tatum, Zac Efron, Ryan Gosling?”
Becca: “Marry: Ryan Gosling. Date: Zac Efron. Kill: Channing Tatum”
HC: “Last but not least, what are you going to remember most about Oneonta when you graduate in May?”
Becca: “My best friend and roommate Caitlin Dempsey. I’ve shared a tiny room with her all four years of college and I wouldn’t change a single moment of it for the world. I can’t imagine having gone through college with anyone else, and I hate the thought of not living with her after school! But I know we’ll be best friends forever, and I know she’ll be doing great things with whatever she chooses to do. But I’ll miss her, and Oneonta, a lot.”
