8 Outfits from the Gigi Hadid/Tommy Hilfiger Collaboration We Can’t Stop Drooling Over

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Pitt chapter.

California’s ultimate it-girl, Gigi Hadid, has crossed the line from model to co-designer, and we could not be more in love with the results! Teaming up with legendary American designer Tommy Hilfiger, the duo took New York Fashion Week to new levels this season at Pier 16 in Lower Manhattan, and it was more than just clothes! The space was transformed into a full-blown carnival complete with a glittering 40-foot Ferris wheel and arcade games. America’s favorite supermodel strutted down the runway herself and showed us how it’s done. Aligned with the rest of the nautical and military inspired pieces in the collection, her designs range from edgy-sophisticated to casual chic. Here’s what we loved about some of the outfits from the line and what makes ‘gigixtommy’ our favorite fall/pre-winter inspo!

Who else but the queen herself could look like royalty in a back-to-school basic? Replacing those everyday jeans with ripped skinnies and monogramed sweaters just screams casual chic. Spice it up with loafers and a statement backpack!

We love the edge in tommyxgigi’s nautical designs. The blazer is a perfect semi-cas to pair up with cotton pants or a skater skirt, and if you’re as perfect as Gigi, even leather pants might do it!

Sleeveless slit overcoats have been all the rage for a while, and the line introduces a peacoat version of it. The white slip-ons totally balance the overall navy blue nautical vibe of the outfit and give it a fresh touch.

CHUNKY OVERSIZED SWEATER? Yes and yes! This is a staple in every girl’s closet, but how does Gigi manage to look majestic in it? Instead of the usual knee highs, she decided to rock some mid socks with ankle boots. Absolute love!

We are loving the effortless elegance in this one! Leather pants add major edge to the long comfy cardigan, which perfectly complements a tank printed with your initials along with the initials of the designer you collaborated with for NYFW. No biggie.

We’re obsessed with Gigi, not just because she can rock the red carpet in a vintage Balmain, but because she can also rock overalls with a high neck top. We think this is the ultimate outfit if you want to stand out from the crowd – especially if you top it off with a chic military cap!

Rock the perfect low-maintenance/high-fashion look with a retro cropped V-neck and a minimalistic cross-body bag. What’s really cool about this piece is that Gigi practically brought high waists into Tommy Hilfiger. “We really weren’t doing high waisted jeans until Gigi came into our office and wanted to do high waisted jeans,” Tommy told USA Today. Period.

Gigi channeled her inner festival goddess for this celestial-patterned maxi dress, tied casually at the waist. We’re talking major high-fashion hippie vibes, ladies! With long sleeves and a lightweight material, this look makes the summer to fall transition SO much easier.

The line beautifully sneaks elegant features into every-day styles and is truly an impressive collection. We all knew that Gigi is one of the most popular style icons in the game, but Tommy Hilfiger stresses that her killer work ethic and dedication is what makes her stand out. All the more reason to love her! Now that her collaboration line is out and popping, we are eager to see more!
