I don’t know about the rest of you, but for me, Fall Break was right on time. Just when I’m starting to get home sick, miss my family, and tired of looking at four white brick walls – FALL BREAK ARRIVES! And, it is just long enough for me to get my mind back in the right place until the next break.
Before break, at least two weeks in advance, I make plans with family and friends. You know, things we can do to keep me busy while at home (despite the fact that my professors insist on bombarding me with papers and tests to study for). This is a time, I feel, to reconnect with loved ones for a brief period and keep the love going. It’s a beautiful time!
For this Fall Break, I hung out with my family and slept like nobody’s business. My first day back, we went bowling. Although I didn’t bowl, I enjoyed every minute with them. We laughed and joked when each other missed the lane and the bowling ball went straight into the gutter. We trash-talked, ate some food, and tried some drinks – well…not me, but that is beside the point. We had fun!
My second day at home was a thrilling one. “WHY?” you may ask. We went to Dorney Park and had more fun than you could have imagined. Not all of my family was in attendance, but those of us who did ran around like a little kid in a…well, amusement park. Again, we laughed, screamed, and ate even better food here; we had pretzel dogs and best of all, FUNNEL CAKE!!! (I got Cookies and Cream Funnel Cake and it was amazing. It didn’t look exactly like the picture below, but it’s close enough.)
My last two days at home were nothing less than relaxing. I slept until noon and hung out with my brother. We went to see Kevin Hart’s What Now in theaters (I highly recommend you all to go see it)!
Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to see all of my family and do everything I wanted to do, but I’m counting down to Thanksgiving Break. Since my Fall Break is over, I’ll give you all some possible activities for your Fall Break:
(*These pictures are not my own. I got them from Pinterest.)
So if you had your Fall Break already, I hope it was one for the books and one that is truly unforgettable.
For those of you who have yet to break for fall, hang in there, friends. We all know how it feels. If you don’t have any plans, please refer to the lists above, make your own bucket list and most importantly, stay safe and HAVE FUN!
