1. “If you don’t know where you’re going, any road will get you there.” – Alice In Wonderland by Lewis Carroll

Take a page out of the Cheshire Cat’s book and do your best to succeed. In the end, we all have the ability to make our dreams happen. We just need to begin our journey.

2. “It is our choices, Harry, that show us who we truly are, far more than our abilities.” – Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by J.K. Rowling

Don’t let people tell you what to do. Do what you believe is right and good things will start to happen for you! It doesn’t matter if you are good at something or not—it is the effort and dedication you put into it.

3. “Most people are nice when you finally see them.” – To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee

Listen to what other people have to say  with an open mind. You may not agree with everything you hear, but you may make friends along the way. People who respect others tend to get the same in return.

4. “Fear doesn’t shut you down; it wakes you up.”  – Divergent by Veronica Roth

Don’t be afraid to try new things. You may not like it, but there is a chance you will. If you don’t try you will never know, and how disappointing would it be to always wonder if you would have liked something had you tried it?

5. “If you don’t imagine, nothing ever happens at all.” – Paper Towns by John Green

Imagination makes the world go round. We need people to imagine every product, every novel, every material thing we hold dear to us.  Everything had to be imagined by someone, somewhere, so if you imagine something, dream to achieve it. See the world in a more interesting light.

6. “We must all face the choice between what is right and what is easy.” – Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling

Just because something seems like it is going to take work, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try. Things that are easy are hardly ever fulfilling. Challenge yourself and work to better yourself, no matter what the situation is. Apply for the job that you aren’t sure you qualify for. Work with your significant other to mend your relationship. Make that big decision that forces you to choose between your dreams or practicality. If you believe it in your heart to be right, it will not matter if it is easy, because the work you have put in will be worth it.

7. “Anything worth dying for is certainly worth living for.” – Catch-22 by Joseph Heller

If you would consider sacrificing your life for something, it is something you should never let go of.  If you love something that much, then you shouldn’t waste your time saying you would die for it, you should work to make it your whole livelihood.
