1. Taphouse
Taphouse is a cute, quaint little bar located in the heart of downtown Hampton. It has a very casual, but vintage vibe with metal ceiling tiles and barstool window seats! They have a huge beer selection so many of their beers sell out fast! Their $1 Bloody Mary’s are a fan favorite and they’re pretty generous with their mimosas! If you want to grab drinks somewhere remotely quiet the Taphouse is recommended!
2. Park Lane Tavern
If you haven’t noticed this European pub on your way into the Peninsula Town Centre you’ve been missing out! The Park Lane Tavern is a British pub with an astronomical selection of drinks and food from around the world with great hours and great service! Their Irish whiskey and specialty cocktails have all been raved about! If you’re into European based drinks and food, give Park Lane Tavern a try!
3. The Green Turtle
If you’re looking for a sports bar fancier than Buffalo Wild Wings, but not willing to travel very far, The Green Turtle is for you! The Green Turtle is also located in the Peninsula Town Center
right next to Bar Louie! It has been described as a very upscale sports bar with the yummiest food! They have great specials during their happy hour. Their biggest happy hour special is the $3-$7 from 3-7 pm Monday through Friday!
4. Bar Louie
Bar Louie is an upbeat grill chain with American grub, martinis and microbrews. It’s also very convenient for Hampton students because it’s in the Peninsula Town Center! One of the reasons why people can’t get enough of Bar Louie is because of their tremendous amount of specials. Their happy hour and late night happy hour, Halloween martini special, Saturday and Sunday brunch and much more! Although the drinks and food are a little pricey, it’s worth just stopping by.
5. Abuelo’s Bar
Although Abuelo’s isn’t actually a bar, they have a big selection of drinks and decent happy hour specials! Abuelo’s has a plethora of tequila options so if you’re a big tequila drinker Abuelo’s is for you! They’re happy hour menu is good with the house margarita being $2.99 and the mojitos are $4.75! Overall Abuelo’s has a great selection of Tex-Mex food and drinks to go with it!
