We at HC Framingham tested out some amazing products and are here to give you some tips of what we think you should (or shouldn’t) use for the rest of your fall semester. Here are our thoughts:
First up, is the Rimmel Color Precise Eyeliner. Sophomore and Her Campus Framingham contributor, Liz Davidson commented this product by saying “I absolutely loved this pop of color from the Rimmel color precise. This liquid liner glided on so smoothly, it’s easily a new favorite. 10/10 highly recommend!”
Grace Cook, another contributor for Her Campus Framingham and senior, mentioned that “The eyeliner went on smoothly (no smearing or smudging at all), and the color was very vivid. However, the eyeliner claims all-day wear and I found it flaking off after a few hours. Going forward, I’ll definitely carry it in my purse so I can reapply as needed.”
Rachel Haggard, Senior and fellow HC Framingham writer also reviewed this eyeliner by stating her first impressions; “I love the vibrant blue color and the fact that it is a liquid liner compared to a pencil! However, I found it difficult to put the liner on and had to continuously run it around my eye because it just didn’t show up. The finished look wasn’t too bad (for someone who is definitely not a makeup artist), but it seems to run out after a single use.”
Next up is the Rimmel London Super Curler Mascara! Liz also tried out this product and had this to say: “The mascara has a super clean application and gives just the right amount of volume and curl you want in mascara.”
Rachel Smith, a junior HC Framingham contributor, also shared her thoughts on the mascara;
“I really, really like this mascara! It went on my eyelashes very lightly and didn’t drag them down. On the packaging it promises to keep lashes curled for 24 hours and it did just that! I had people notice my eyelashes more and compliment how long they looked. This certain one had an extremely black color which I love that just enhances naturally dark lashes! The formula did not clump at all and didn’t feel heavy on my lashes. I will definitely be using this in the future!”
Another HC Framingham member, Senior Serena Ouellete, put on the mascara and mentioned this; “I have used a lot of mascara in my day, sometimes more than one in order to get that high definition. With the Rimmel Super Curler I only need it once and I’m good to go! I don’t even have to use my eyelash curler because the brush does it for you!” Amanda Luciano, member of the HC chapter at Framingham State University, was able to try out our next item to report on is Rimmel’s lipstick! She offered her thoughts on the product; “Now, I’m a sucker for a classic red lip, so I was thrilled to apply Rimmel’s lipstick in ‘The Best of the Best.’ The first thing I noticed when I applied it was how much I adored the color. The ruby red color pairs perfectly with that little black dress and a night out. It’s also surprisingly light, especially since most of my glossy lipsticks feel heavy on the lips. It’s also not nearly as sticky as other lipsticks I’ve tried. This is definitely a lipstick I’ll be reapplying soon!”
Freshman writer, Molly Roach, went for a laid back color. “The Rimmel London lipstick shade ‘It’s a Keeper’ made me feel beautiful! It gave my look a nice, but subtle pop of color. Also, the great scent is a plus!”
Meanwhile, Liz decided to check out the lipstick in a different color. She says “Rimmel London’s lipstick in ‘Pink A Punch’ is by far the brightest lip color I’ve ever owned. It has a rich pigmented payoff and lasts for a long time. The only down side was how pale it made me look and not in a flattering way. If you want a bold lip, this is a great place to start.”
The Framingham State University was unbelievably excited about the The Embellished Demi Push-Up Bra! Christina Kamara, a freshman at Framingham’s Her Campus chapter, was thrilled to try it on and offer her review.

A couple members were interested in trying on Jet Black Sheer Energy Tights! Freshman writer, Victoria Bailey said “They were very comfortable to wear and I loved how the waistband is nice and stretchy. If you’re looking for opaque black tights I don’t think I would recommend this level of sheer, however I think the sheerness of these compliment a black dress or skirt perfectly. The silkiness of the material prevented my legs from getting too hot and the stretchiness made it easy to move around in them!”
Rachel H. also decided to try on the tights, saying “I would have preferred a ‘nude’ tone but it would have most likely looked peach over my pasty skin. The black is alright but it is very sheer so it has an ombre effect instead of a solid black but they have a silky feel. These would work great with a black skirt and a blouse for an interview. The small size fit me great (I am 5’ 2’’ and 113 lbs)”
