How to Spend a Fall Day in Eugene

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Oregon chapter.

Fall has once again arrived in Eugene. The leaves are starting to change color, and a brisk breeze roams through the air. Even though we now have to say goodbye to summer and the warm weather it brings, there are still plenty of activities to do in Eugene during this chilly season.

1. Start your crisp, autumn day with your favorite warm drink. A cup of coffee or tea is a definite fall essential, and Eugene is home to many great coffee shops and teahouses. Vero Espresso, Cafe Roma, and Townshend’s are just a few of many.

2. If it’s not raining, spend the day roaming outside. A hike through Spencer’s Butte or a bike ride through Alton Baker Park will add some (pumpkin) spice to your day.

3. During the fall, rain is also inevitable. Indoor activities may be limited, but you can spend your day creating the ultimate fall playlist. For some inspiration, head to your local record store and discover some new music.
