Eight Last Minute Warm and Cozy Halloween Costumes

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Northwestern chapter.

Drake from “Hotline Bling”

Love him or hate him, Drake has an iconic style. All you need for this one is a grey turtleneck, white jeans and Timberland boots. Bonus points for holding a (you used to call me on my) cell phone.

The Lights From “Stranger Things”

Everyone’s favorite binge-watching tv show from the summer can come to life and keep you cozy. Just wear jeans and a flannel and take down those fairy lights from your walls (or buy new ones on Amazon), and attach a battery pack. Viola!

Justin Jackson the Ball Carrier

Even if you didn’t make it to many football games to hear people chant the phrase, everyone will love this costume. Wear a Northwestern jersey or any other football jersey, and carry a bag full of ping pong balls or tennis balls.

A “Fracket”

Let all of the freshman know what’s up with outerwear when going out. This may be the easiest one on the list. Literally wear a cheap jacket over a cozy outfit, and when people ask what you are, make sure they know to keep their North Faces at home next weekend.

Damn, Daniel

Vine might be ending, but no one will forget this fashionable teenager’s style. Just wear any branded T-shirt, like Supreme or Huff and make sure to keep your backpack on. The only must have for this costume are white slip-on sneakers. Make sure you have a posse to complement you whenever you roll up to the party.

Northwestern Dad

Gives your friends a heads up about all of the stylish parents who are about to visit for parents weekend. Just wear some purple swag (or if you have the shirt already that’s perfect) and some dad jeans and sneakers. Even add a purple solo cup and some face paint and now you are an alumnae at a football game.

80’s Ski Costume

Similar to a 80’s workout instructor, but even warmer. Wear a brightly colored t-shirt and some leggings, and add one of those cool patterned jackets from a thrift store. Even if you’re not going on Ski Trip, look like you are hitting the slopes and stay warm.

Where’s Waldo

All you need is a red and white striped shirt, the iconic beanie and some glasses. Even better if they are prescription and you can give your eyes a rest day from contacts while staying nice and cozy.

With all of these amazing and cute warm costumes, there’s no need to be have your teeth chattering all the way down Sheridan. Stay cozy, my friends!

Hi! I am a social policy major from San Francisco, California. Some of my favorites things to do are thrift shopping, exploring museums, and drinking tea. My role models are 90's TV heroines, and I love foggy days. I am super excited to be writing for HerCampus!
