Her Campus: How do you feel to be interviewed by Her Campus?
Adriana Selci: I feel like honored. The people I usually see you all interview and make articles about are doing some great things on our campus and in our community so I guess this means I am doing something right.
Her Campus: Of all the schools in Georgia, what was the driving force behind you coming to Georgia State University?
Adriana Selci: I am truly a city girl at heart and I knew that college was a must. So why not kill two birds with one stone? Although, I came to GSU thinking I would love it simply because it was in the city, I have grown a love for my University because all of the opportunities it has afforded me and so many more that I know will come… Now being in the city is just a plus!
Her Campus: If any, what clubs or organizations are you involved with here at Georgia State?
Adriana Selci: I am the Spirit & Traditions Chair for Spotlight Programs Board and I am also a member of The National Council of Negro Woman, INC.
Her Campus: For those who aren’t involved on campus, what advice would you give?
Adriana Selci: You will hear this from anyone but it is a major key- GET INVOLVED. Coming into GSU I was a transfer student and only knew a few people. I was determined to find a few organizations that I related to and joined!
Her Campus: Are you the only child?
Adriana Selci: No, I am not; I am the baby (youngest of 4).
Her Campus: Do you have a best friend?
Adriana Selci: Yes, I do. Two and they both go to GSU their names are Daija Blocker & Simone Dobson
Her Campus: What foundation is your friendship built on?
Adriana Selci: Loyalty, Simone and I have been best friends since the 8th grade and Daija and I have been friends since 10th grade of High School.
Her Campus: If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you go and why?
Adriana Selci: I would travel to Greece. I love to submerge myself in a culture that is new to me and the water there is so beautiful.
Her Campus: What kind of food do you enjoy?
Adriana Selci: I love seafood and Italian food
Her Campus: Your make-up is always done, almost close to perfection, what products do you use?
Adriana Selci: Thank you! I mostly use MAC products, with an occasional item or two from Sephora.
Her Campus: What do you like to do on your down time?
Adriana Selci: I am usually really busy, so I don’t have much down time. When I do, I usually go to the mall, or just sit at home and take advantage of having a moment to myself.
Her Campus: If you could spend the day with any famous person who would you choose and why?
Adriana Selci: I would KILL to spend the day with Kim Kardashian-West.
Her Campus: Why is it so important that you stay true to yourself?
Adriana Selci: I love the quote, “if you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything” and I believe this to be so true. How are you supposed to stand your ground and fight for what you want, if you don’t even know who you are as an individual and what you stand for?
Her Campus: The year is almost over, did you have any goals for 2016 that you were able to accomplish?
Adriana Selci: I wanted to get in better shape than I was last year, and that is working out well for me (If I can say so myself )
Her Campus: What are plans once you graduate?
Adriana Selci: At the moment, I plan to begin working in a corporate office for a well-known bank BUT only time will tell. I do look forward to the future and what it will bring.
