We’ve all heard those horrible tales from our closest friends about their roommates, some of which are scary enough to give you nightmares. I thought I would do the Halloween gods a favor and compile the worst ones I could find to scare you, in the spirit of Halloween of course.
1. “I had 2 college roommates. They use to drink a lot which resulted in them being expelled. They drank so much that when they cleaned out the room there were so many bottles that it filled a big push recycling bin. They also had sprayed the hallway with a fire extinguisher. I couldn’t go into my room most of the time because they were so bad.”
2. “My daughter had a roommate at college that got sick and never said anything and just left so she had no one to start off with. No one knew what happened to her until she suddenly appeared.”
3. “I had a roommate in college that didn’t speak much English and would steal my radio and other belongings all the time. She was dirty and refused to shower as well.”
4. “I have so many roommate stories but mostly I had a roommate that used to come home drunk all the time. I also had another roommate, a male, that moved in and, because I was in the room above him, I could hear everything through the vent, including what he said and what they were doing. Yes, this included when he was having sex. I had another roommate who thought he was being funny. He was planning on squatting and farting near me and when he did he actually he actually sh*t himself. Ironically, he is now my husband.”
5. “I lived off campus in a house and my roommate blocked my car in and left with his friend. I had an exam and needed to get out so I decided to try and squeeze between the house and the other car to get out. I ended up hitting the house.”
6. “I had a roommate that use to label everything, no matter whose it was, including things individually. She even used to label each tampon.”
7. “My roommate eats her own dandruff.”
8. “During the first week of school, my roommate would never tell me when he was changing and I would repeatedly turn around to him being fully naked. He also stares at himself in the mirror and poses like a model.”
9. “My freshman year, I had a roommate that liked to party and stay out late. One night while I was sleeping, she brought a guy back to our room and they proceeded to ‘get to know one another.’ I was so embarrassed; I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t want to get up and see anything, but then my next thought was what if they try and get me involved. I decided to stay under the covers and ignore them but be ready to bolt if I needed to. The next day I had my room changed. This happened within the first month of college.”
10. “We had a suite of 6 guys and one of them was Stu. His real name was Stu and he acted like a ‘Stu’. He had nothing in common with any of us and was really goofy and tried so hard to fit in with all of us, but something was always just off. It was just so awkward when he was around. He literally laughed at everything and was just a total ‘Stu.’”
