What made you chose VCU?
When I was in 4th grade I asked my favorite teacher (she was an art teacher) what college she went to, she told me VCU and I vowed to go there. Also it’s not too far from home.
What’s your favorite place to eat on campus?
Chili’s, mostly because they accept dining dollars.
How are you involved on campus?
Not as involved as I could be. However, I am a member of Globe, the living learning program, and I also have a specialty show on the student radio WVCW. Shameless plug: Tune in to my specialty show that I cost host on Fridays 11-midnight for celebrity gossips, sports news, good music and more.
What’s your favorite thing about VCU?
The events they offer to students, mostly events hosted by APB.
Who’s your role model?
Oprah Winfrey. But then again whose role model isn’t she?
What’s your Starbucks order?
It changes every now and then but currently it is the iced berry sangria tea with dehydrated fruit — it has to have the fruit.
If you were stranded on a desert island, what three movies would you bring to watch?
I guess I would bring “Something Borrowed”, “Captain America: Civil War” and “Beyond the Lights”.
What’s one thing not a lot of people know about you?
I am very artistic, I dibble and dabble in basically all things art. I do photography, make hats, draw, write poetry, write spoken word and plays.
How would you describe yourself in five words?
Loud, ebullient, pulchritudinous, awkward and friendly.
What’s your biggest pet peeve?
I hate it when people spit on the sidewalk. Yuck!
Who’s your celebrity crushes?
My top five are: Sam Hunt, DeAndre Jordan, J.Cole, Chadwick Boseman and Henry Cavill
Would you rather stay in and watch Netflix or go out with friends?
It depends on my mood; I love a good movie night but I also enjoy going out with friends on occasion.
What’s your favorite make-up brand?
Colourpop! Colourpop ensures that I am broke the day after payday every single time.
What’s your advice for VCU freshmen?
There are some perks of going to community college first, like being $60,000 less in debt.
What’s your dream job?
I would love to have my own television show where I could use my platform to gain the perspectives of people from different walks of life. However, I would settle for any position if I could work for Ellen DeGeneres.
