Kensington Palace Confirms Prince Harry Dating Rumors in Emotional Plea

Within the last few years, there has been extreme speculation about Prince Harry’s personal and romantic life because well, he is a Prince. But that is no justification for harassment.

The most recent cause for a stir is Meghan Markle, the actress who plays Rachel in Suits. A few weeks ago it was speculated that Prince Harry and Markle have been dating and apparently since then, some people of the press have been less than respectful to their privacy, including numerous stories with “racist undertones” about Markle’s heritage.

As of this morning, Kensington Palace has released a statement for the first time in relation to the Prince’s love life. The letter, which was posted on Twitter at roughly 6am, begs for privacy for Prince Harry and “his girlfriend, Meghan Markle.”

While this is the confirmation that we’ve been waiting for, we wish the circumstances were better. The letter states that the harassment has been extremely difficult on Markle’s family when there even have been moments when her mother had to “struggle past photographers in order to get to her front door.” And that it “is not right that a few months into a relationship with him that Ms Markle should be subjected to such a storm.”

Here is the full letter and we hope that the harassment stops because no matter who someone is in the public eye, they are still a person.
