Why did you come to UIC?
UIC is actually one of the top five universities that I wanted to go to. After weighing out the pros and cons, I decided to attend UIC. UIC is a renowned university with a great reputation, it is close to home, my parents wanted me to attend UIC, and more importantly, UIC has something for everyone – there are so many fields of study here from the architecture to writing. Last but not least, UIC offered me scholarships and it easily became the more affordable choice for me.
What are your plans after graduating?
After graduating, I plan to work full-time writing for digital and new media. I will most likely go back and pursue a Master’s but I am not sure when yet.
What are you involved with on campus?
I recently joined HerCampus UIC’s editorial team and I was a former mentee of the Asian American Mentoring Program (AAMP) at the Asian American Resource and Cultural Center (AARCC).
Your favorite thing about Chicago?
There is always something going on in the city of Chicago, and it warms my heart seeing how many tourists have Chicago on their traveling bucket list.
