5 Super Easy Holiday Dorm Decoration Hacks

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Pace chapter.

Finals are approaching and everyone needs a little Christmas Cheer! Here are 5 super easy holiday dorm decorations that will brighten up your mood and help you to get excited about the holiday season!  Everything you need to decorate with would only cost a few bucks at a local Dollar Tree, or you may already have. Take a break from studying, put on some Christmas music and start decorating!

1. SNOWMAN DOOR DECOR

All you need is construction paper for this easy door snowman. Instead of using wrapping paper for the snowman’s scarf, you can use red construction paper.

2. PAPER SNOWFLAKES

All you need is white construction paper to make paper snowflakes! You can hang them up with string or just put them on your desk for decoration.

3. MINI DECORATIVE BOWS

Christmas bows are a great way to make your room feel more festive without a ton of work. Throw a bow or two on something already in your dorm!

4. STOCKINGS

Stockings are easy to hang up and are essential to Christmas décor.  You can even get creative and decorate your stocking.  Also, if you and your roommate do a gift exchange, this can be something simple and inexpensive. Fill each others stockings with candy, lip gloss or a gift card.

5. CHRISTMAS LIGHTS

What’s Christmas without lights?! Hang up a string of lights by using leftover command hooks you may have.  You can also use tacks to hang up the lights.

I’ve made all of these easy decorations in my own dorm and it took less than 45 minutes! Some of these photos are even from my own dorm.  It definitely puts my roommates and I in the Christmas spirit and makes our room feel more like home.
