The Hamilton Mixtape is out. This is not a drill.
I never thought that Lin-Manuel Miranda’s original music could be more perfect, but this album elevates the soundtrack to a whole new level. Featuring all-star artists, ranging from hip-hop legends The Roots to the popstar queen Kelly Clarkson, the mixtape is broad in its range and makes every song more directly relevant to today’s environment. No longer just a Broadway soundtrack, this album transcends the stage and is for each person, narrating each of our struggles, not just Alexander Hamilton’s.
It really is a thing of beauty.
I highly recommend everyone gives it a listen. It’s available anywhere music is sold, but you can stream on Spotify (as I have been for the past two days).
