Can You Handle Bar It?

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BU chapter.

Article By Samantha Kim

When I found out that BU’s Her Campus chapter was hosting a cycling class at The Handle Bar I was excited. But when I found out that it was going to be free and that there was going to be a mocktail hour afterwards, I almost passed out because it was so exciting.

I absolutely loved taking classes at the Handle Bar when I was an avid cycler in my freshman year. Unfortunately, I hadn’t had the chance to take a class since last May because of summer break and a new job. This event was going to be the first class I had taken in months. I was a little nervous that I wasn’t going to be able to keep up or that maybe it wasn’t going to be as fun as the previous classes I had taken. I was so wrong and ended up having a ton of fun!

With an upbeat and hardcore AF instructor and a fun group of energetic riders, the class was everything I hoped for and more! I had forgotten just how much fun cycling was and now I’m thinking classes at The Handle Bar are going to very quickly become an addiction for me again.

The “mocktail” (mock cocktail) hour that The Handle Bar so kindly provided for us afterwards was also so darn cute and fun. I had the chance to talk with gals from BU’s Her Campus chapter and meet new people and it was an overall blast that I’m super happy I was able to be a part of.

There’s nothing like bonding with people through fitness and I daresay The Handle Bar is a great place to do this! The people that work there are super sweet and welcoming and I always have a great time when I go. What’s not to like about a good work out in good company? So if you’re ever looking for a fun new way to work out and meet sweet people then make sure to check out The Handle Bar at one of its three locations!
