HCSMU: What are you studying?
Avery Kout: Marketing.
HCSMU: What year are you?
AK: First-year.
HCSMU: What do you do with Her Campus SMU?
AK: I am a general member/writer for Her Campus.
HCSMU: What other organizations are you involved with (Greek life, volunteering, clubs, etc.)?
I am a member of Student Foundation and I am on the executive board for SMU Dance Marathon. I am also a member of the Boulevard Baking club.
HCSMU: What has been your favorite class at SMU? Why?
AK: Of the few classes I have taken my favorite has been Business Ethics with Ken Daley. The material is very different from any class I have ever taken and the professor is a lot of fun.
HCSMU: What does your dream future look like?
AK: My dream job would be to work for a clothing company or magazine as a marketing director or running the social media.
HCSMU: What has been your favorite adventure to date?
AK: My favorite adventure would be the trip I took to Europe with my best friend over the summer before my junior year of high school. We visited 7 countries in 2.5 weeks and had an amazing time.
HCSMU: What’s the biggest thing on your bucket list right now?
AK: I really want to study abroad. It would be amazing if I could go to Australia.
