Why You Should Model in the ISU Fashion Show

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Illinois State chapter.

Do you love fashion? Are you looking for something new to do this semester? Or are you just looking to make some new friends? If you answered yes to at least one of these questions then you MUST try out to be a model in the 2017 Illinois State Fashion Show.

This will be the 16th annual fashion show that ISU’s Fashion Design and Merchandising Association has put on and the show gets bigger and bigger every year! Each year there are model auditions for the fashion show and each model receives a few looks that they will wear on stage during the show. Now I know what some of you are thinking, “I could never do that,” or “I’d be way too nervous,” or “I’ve never modeled before.” If I guessed right and those thoughts have popped into your head while mulling this over, then get them right out! All shapes and sizes along with females and males are welcomed for this fun opportunity and no experience is necessary. This is a great way to love your body and encourage other women and men to do the same. Through this opportunity you gain knowledge about fashion, confidence and a ton of great new friends.

Here’s the details:

– Auditions: January 25th 8-10pm, Prairie North Room of the Bone Student Center

– Callbacks: January 26th 8-10pm, Prairie North Room of the Bone Student Center

– Bring heels to walk in (any height)

– Practices will be held every other Wednesday 8-10pm until the show

– Fashion Show takes place April 13th at 7pm

Can’t wait to see you all smizin’ out there like Tyra taught you!
