We’re in the second semester of school already! Although the thought of this might be as bit mind-blowing as it is comforting, many of us look at second semester as an opportunity to make better decisions and clean up our act a bit. First semester was just practice. This semester we’re ready to play the college game — and win! Some resolutions you may have are to:
1. Go to Bed on Time
I can’t stress how important this is. Without sleep, we wouldn’t be able to function the way we do. If it helps, write down a schedule for yourself, and plan everything you have to do over the day accordingly so you have time to catch those Z’s.
Â
2. Be More ActiveÂ
Â
Maybe you didn’t have enough time last semester, or it’s part of your New Year’s resolution to go to the gym more. Whatever the reason is, it’s always good to try to fit in some physical activity throughout the week. Not only does it relieve stress, but you feel even more confident after you begin to see results!
Â
3. Improve Academic PerformanceÂ
One pretty common goal a lot of students have is to do well in their new classes. With hard work and determination, anyone can earn an A. Good grades are possible! Just remember to not be too hard on yourself if you happen to not get the score you wanted. Don’t stress, there will be many tests and quizzes in the future!
Â
4. Become More Social
Maybe there is someone that you’ve been meaning to talk to last semester, but didn’t get the chance to. Or, you may have decided to join a new club. Setting time aside from school to mingle with others is also equally important. Making friends is a healthy part of life, and they can be pretty awesome when you find the right ones!
Â
5. Be OptimisticÂ
Along with the new year, there are a lot of new changes that are taking place in our country and world at the moment. Remember that whatever good you’d like to see happen in the world is possible. Love wins over hate every time. Use your voice to change what’s around you for the better!
