With Valentine’s Day approaching, our social media feed start filling up with #bestvalentine pictures, and the isles of Target start filling up with cute decorations. But let’s be honest, unless you have a significant other it’s easy to feel forever alone and want to watch The Notebook while sipping on wine and eating chocolate. It can be so easy to forget that we are surrounded with people who love us just as much (or even more) than a S.O., and we should celebrate that love! So here are some of the reasons why being your bff’s Valentine can be the best Valentine you ever have.
You can stuff your faces together. Valentine’s Day = lot’s of candy! And eating a lot of candy is never a bad idea when you’re binge watching all of your favorite Nicholas Sparks movies.
You can cry together. A perk of being single with your bff is that both of you might feel some kind of way when seeing others so in love. And while this may be what makes VDay sad for you, remember that it also means that you can lean on each other when you are feeling sad and give each other a warm shoulder to cry on. Or you can both roast on all of the over the top VDay post on your timeline together.
You are the perfect date for each other. The best part of being your friend’s valentines is skipping all of the pressure of having to look your best, or planning the perfect outfit (imagine how much time or money you will save!). Not to mention having to find the perfect present is easy because you already know what they’ll like! You can plan a date you know you will both enjoy, like going out to your favorite sushi restaurant, or binge watching your favorite movies.
Being your bffs Valentine’s will give you the best company on a day meant to celebrate love. And there is nothing better than being surrounded by the people who love you the most!
