Gabrielle Union Releases “Flawless” For Women With Natural Hair

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at GSU chapter.

Look out Shea Moisture! Gabrielle Union is blessing the natural sisters with a brand new natural hair care line. For years, women with textured hair have resorted to relaxers to conform to society’s standards of beauty. Fortunately, things have changed and rocking natural hair is at an all-time high. The talented actress spoke with Women’s Wear Daily and recalled her experience with relaxers as she stated, “I went through a phase where I would leave my relaxer on so long, thinking the longer I leave this relaxer on, the straighter it’s going to be.” After suffering from lesions on her scalp due to relaxers, Union decided that it was time for a change. She then went natural in her 20s and has not looked back since.

Union’s natural hair experience has resulted in her teaming up with Macadamia Natural Oil to launch her new line, Flawless. “I want women with textured hair to have great hair days,” she told WWD. Flawless will offer a wide range of  products for natural hair including oil treatments, hair masks, edge control, and moisturizing shampoo and conditioner to keep your curls nice and healthy.

And don’t worry ladies, this new line will not break your pockets! Flawless products will be ranging from $19 to $29 and will be available for purchase on Flawlesshair.com on March 1, and in Ulta Beauty stores on April 16, just in time to rock your natural hair this spring!
