The Wait for Beauty and the Beast Is Almost Over

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UGA chapter.

Undoubtedly one of the most highly-anticipated movies of the year, Disney’s live action version of Beauty and the Beast will hit theatres in less than a month, and we are so ready. To get ready, here’s some information about the new movie:

This remake of the classic 1991 film was directed by Bill Condon, with music from Alan Menken. The star-studded cast includes Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Josh Gad, Ewan McGregor, Audra McDonald, Ian McKellen, and Luke Evans. Wow!

You can view the first trailer for the movie here, plus check out a sneak peek at “Belle,” and a sneak peek at “Gaston”!

Plus, Emma Watson looked incredibly stunning at the red carpet premiere in London on February 23, 2017.

The movie will have two previously-unheard songs, which are titled “Days in the Sun” and “Forever More.” After the success of the live-action remake of Cinderella (2015), we cannot wait to see the fantastic new rendition of this tale as old as time. Speaking of, John Legend and Ariana Grande have an updated version of the iconic song.

In short, we are counting down the days until we can finally see Beauty and the Beast so we can cry about our favorite scenes being brought to life, and try to resist singing along in the movie theater. The movie will be released throughout the United States on March 17th, 2017. Not much longer to go now!
