Ever wonder who the wonderful ladies are behind the Her Campus Siena articles? This semester you’ll find out! Check back in every now and then for our profiles of each member of the amazing Her Campus Siena team.
Name: RaShonda Jones
Year: 2017 / Senior
Major: Marketing & Spanish
Hometown: Kalamazoo, MI
HC Siena: Why did you choose your major?
RJ: In high school I took a couple marketing classes and really enjoyed it. I started off as a Spanish minor but after studying abroad in Spain, I only needed a couple more classes to complete the major therefore I added on another major.
HC Siena: Why did you want to get involved with Her Campus Siena?
RJ: I got involved in Her Campus Siena during my sophomore year because I wanted to get more involved on campus and meet new people.
HC Siena: What is your favorite part of working with Her Campus?
RJ: My favorite part of working with Her Campus is using my creative side to write articles and come up with event ideas.
HC Siena: Out of all the articles you have written, which one is your favorite and why?
RJ: My favorite article that I have written is “14 Reasons to Look Forward to Fall Season.” This one is my favorite because I personally hate fall and I would reread all the benefits of fall to try to convince myself that fall is not that bad.
HC Siena: What is something that makes you happy?
RJ: Some things that make me happy are spending time with friends and family, shopping, listening to Drake, and working out.
HC Siena: What would your memoir be called and why?
RJ: My memoir would be called “Let Me Explain.”
HC Siena: If you were stranded on an island, what three things would you bring?
RJ: If I was stranded on the island, I would bring my American Express card since they say “don’t leave home without it” and maybe I could order things to the island?? Also a water filter and a knife.
HC Siena: If you could choose a mentor, who would it be?
RJ: My mentor would be one of the Sharks from Shark Tank. They are very inspirational, intelligent people and they could really help me with my future business career.
HC Siena: Why do you think everyone should read Her Campus Siena?
RJ: It is a great way to procrastinate and read interesting articles related to campus.
