SPRING BREAK!!! But I Have No Plans…Top 3 Leisure Activities You Could Do To Make Your Spring Break More Enjoyable!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Molloy chapter.

IT’S SPRING BREAK!!!!!!! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnd you’ve done nothing….no crazy adventures, no traveling, no seeing friends because they’re all traveling, you’ve probably barely left the house except to walk the dog or take the trash out. Yes, for a lot of people spring break is just a week you get to catch up on all that sleep you missed because you had to go to class, but don’t’ feel bad! Plenty of people’s spring breaks were like that, some just know how to lie about it really well, but there’s nothing wrong with a little bit of R&R in privacy of your own house, in fact here are 3 leisure activities you probably could de or have done to make our stay at home spring break more enjoyable.

3. Sleep: Like I said before there’s nothing wrong with a little bit of R&R and it doesn’t get more R&R than sleeping in until 1 o’clock in the afternoon (that’s my record can anyone top it?) As college students we’re so used to waking up early and sleeping in late that whenever we do get the opportunity to doze off for a couple more hours without an alarm buzzing in our ears, we take it. Sleep is like money to us, we don’t get much of it but we want more of it.

2. Netflix & Chill: Yes you read that correctly, but you don’t’ have to do it the way everyone else usually does (yes I know what you’re thinking, get you’re mind out of the gutter…..nasty) or you can, I don’t judge. In all honesty nothing beats throwing yourself down on the couch or bed, putting on a movie, and cuddling with a family member, a friend, that special someone or even your dog. It doesn’t always have to lead to him giving you that “look” halfway through the movie.

1. Friends & Family: For those of you who live on campus like me, one thing that we always look forward to is seeing the friends and family that we leave behind when we go away. I know that usually we live on campus to get away from strict, overbearing parents but, a visit or two never killed anybody (besides we all know that the real reason we go home is to see our pets). Getting together with the family or some friends to have a game night, go to the movies, grab a bite to eat or just to sit home and relax sounds like a pretty good way to spend a day on spring break.
