Celebrities Speak Out About London Attack

The city of London is healing after an attacker killed three civilians and one police officer on March 22, and roughly 50 people wounded. The attack happened near the United Kingdom’s Parliament on Westminster Bridge.

The attacker drove an SUV into civilians on Westminster Bridge, killing three people, and then proceed to leave the SUV and stab a London police officer. The attacker has been identified as 52 year old Khalid Masood.

The dead include: London police officer Keith Palmer, British mother of two Aysha Frade, US tourist Kurt Cochran, and retired window cleaner Leslie Rhodes who died later at the hospital.

Many celebrities around the world have spoke out about the tragedy. Celebrities have voiced their support for those affected by the horrific incident.

James Corden opened his show “The Late Late Show” on March  23 to express his sadness for his hometown. Watch video here. 

“I know for a fact that all something like this does is bring them closer together as one,” Corden said. “Tonight we send our heartfelt thoughts to everybody in Britain. Stay safe.”

Other celebrities, including Nicki Manaj, P!nk, Katy Perry, and Ellen Degeneres, took to Twitter to share their love and support.

Prime Minster Theresa May called the attack a “sick and depraved terrorist attack […] A terrorist came to the place where people of all nationalities and cultures gather to celebrate what it means to be free. And he took out his rage indiscriminately against innocent men, women and children,” she said.

British police have made multiple arrests on March 23 in connection to the attack.
